Create a new Password - My Apple ID

When the New Password field is on focus the word balloon appears. 

As characters are added the requirements in the word balloon change color to indicate if they are satisfied (green) or not (red.) The password strength appears and changes color as strength changes. 

After creating the new password a confirmation message appears. 
Chrome browser feature: Would you like to save this password?

 Save password is immediately recognized as a button. 
The drop down is intuitive, however what is confusing is that the drop down menu is in fact a button itself. The options are accessed by clicking the down carrot. The button is activated by clicking on the label portion of the control.

This message appeared after new software was downloaded.

Button: Save password

Button/drop down: Nope

If you click the down carrot next to Nope there were other options.

Timeout, Back Button, or Bookmark Error

Apparently this message is a catch all for "Timeout, Back Button, or Bookmark."

During a visit to LinkedIn.com this banner appeared at the top to inform users the Privacy Policy was revised.

Microsoft Word Crash Message

This dialog box appeared when Microsoft Office Word closed on a Windows platform. 

The message suggests that the problem be related to the "floppy disk is too small..."

I appreciate the warning that it may "take a while" 

It would be truly helpful to know what a while is. 

Give the user some clue as to what it is based on so they can determine how long it might be. Is it based on amount of data, or what?

Images Now Showing - Gmail

This modal appeared when gmail was accessed on a desktop computer.

Okay closed the modal.

Purchase funnel - Dave Ramsey

This purchase funnel, for Financial Peace University on DaveRamsey.com, was well designed. 

After searching for a class location this page appears. 

Clicking the Register & Purchase button at the middle right takes you to this screen.

A green check mark appears when the field has valid input. 

A red X appears when the field input is invalid. 

Upon clicking a Place Order button, most sites take you to a white screen, sometimes without a message and it causes the user to gasp. 

Here, when the Place Order button was clicked the page remains and a message appears in place of the button, "Processing, please wait..." along with a spin-wheel. 

This was a great transition.

The final screen has messaging that cuts into the banner. This visual design decision is excellent. It disrupts the users banner blindness and cues them to read the information.
